Viewing Online CBT in Google Chrome

The latest update to Google Chrome has blocked plug-ins that use NPAPI; see here for more details: https://blog.chromium.org/2013/09/saying-goodbye-to-our-old-friend-npapi.html.

This update means that the Adobe Shockwave plug-in no longer loads in Chrome. Therefore, some of the online CBT will no longer be viewable in Chrome.

Affected products are:

  • ATPL
    • Air Law
    • Aircraft Performance
    • Human Performance and Limitations
    • Meteorology
  • PPL - All products
  • RT Comms - All products

If you are a Google Chrome user and you have access to any of the above online products, you will need to use an alternate browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Adobe may release an updated Shockwave plug-in that will continue to run in the latest version of Chrome. The most recent Adobe Shockwave plug-in can be downloaded from here: https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/.

We are already in the process of updating our products so that they will run on more devices and will not be dependent on any browser plug-ins.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
