VFR RT COMMS cd.. win8.1 issue

Hi there,
I have both the VFR RT Comms (JAA) and the Uk supplement CD's. and trying to install  onto a win8.1 pc.
Upon loading either cd   there is no installation process  initiated  to load the software into a folder ( the drive is set to autoplay).   As such I cant then install the exe fixes

( the date of the files on the cd appear to be from 2001)

Hi,

Some of our early CD-ROMs did not have installers and the product ran directly from the disk. If you have a version of the VFR from 2001 it may not have an installer.

If there is no installer, you can manually copy the data to your computer. However, Microsoft put put a Windows update that stops some of our product from running on WIndows 7, 8 and 10. We have fixed exes available for all current products but we are unable to issue fixed exes for software as old as 2001; fingers crossed that yours will run ok....

thanks for the reply Jon... unfortunately the cd gods are not kind to me and I cant get the cd to play correctly ( either directly or from via copied to the pc),,, I will hunt around for an old laptop with win98 to play the cd's
